Dr. David L. Smith Jr. is a professional jazz trombonist with over 16 years of experience as a world-class soloist. He has performed with some of the top leading musicians in the jazz idiom including the late George "Buster" Cooper, trombonist from the world-renowned Duke Ellington Orchestra. Smith brings a sense of spirit through his soulful, and melodic improvisations. He has a strong command for the jazz language and his technique on the trombone is unimaginable. He performs regularly in the North Florida Region spreading his love and passion for jazz music and is currently working on a solo album all being self-produced by himself. The album is scheduled to be released in December of this year.
